Recreational Area

Plan to spend a day touring Battleship Memorial Park, or just come and spend an hour picnicking on our grounds.  Our bayside picnic area offers individual covered picnic tables and benches, complete with small grills for your usage.

Our picnic area has reproduction outdoor dining huts just like the ones used in the Pacific during WWII.  Picnic tables are available on a first-come-first-serve basis. Reservations are not accepted.

Located in front of the USS ALABAMA, the picnic area also has a fishing pier for those who would like to wet their hook.  A valid Alabama Fishing License is required to fish from the pier.

The park entry fee gives you access to the grounds for:

• Explore Grounds

Bike Repair Station

We installed a bike repair station for those visitors coming to the park by bike or riding the loop.  Free to use.  Includes air pump and repair station with tools.  Located adjacent to the Gift Shop.
